WWE is pushing ahead with its plans to host Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, November 7, despite mounting regional security concerns, official government travel warnings, and persistent pushback from fans.
Newly circulated footage on social media confirms that construction crews have officially begun building the temporary outdoor stadium and stage structure in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). The venue progress indicates that WWE management remains committed to broadcasting live from the country as originally scheduled.
Government Travel Directives And Regional Disruption
The decision to proceed comes during heightened diplomatic scrutiny across the Middle East. On October 23, the U.S. State Department ordered the departure of non-emergency government employees and their family members from Saudi Arabia.
Transportation issues further complicated the logistics when King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh experienced operational disruptions before partially reopening on October 25. Despite U.S. government personnel remaining under travel authorization restrictions, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel confirmed during executive remarks on October 22 that Crown Jewel remains on schedule without location changes.
