Backstage details have emerged regarding WWE’s creative direction, revealing that key Tiffany Stratton Money in the Bank plans were finalized far in advance of the premium live event. Sources indicate management held firm on their intended trajectory for both ladder match winners rather than changing course late in the process.
Tiffany Stratton Money in the Bank Creative Direction and Title Pursuit
Internal plans had long positioned Stratton to transition into a primary title program against Women’s Champion Chelsea Green, with the ultimate trajectory calling for a championship victory:
- Long-Term Trajectory: Corporate creative mapped out Stratton’s push toward the title scene well in advance, though individual storylines remain fluid.
- Briefcase Notice: Talent involved in the women’s ladder match were officially informed on Thursday night that Stratton would be taking the contract the following evening.
- Betting Line Discrepancies: Leading into the broadcast, betting odds favored Roxanne Perez and Bron Breakker on show day, while Lash Legend and Penta carried favorite status earlier in the week.
SmackDown Tag Match Outcome Shift
While the ladder match winners remained locked in, management executed at least one major day-of-show change on the preceding episode of WWE SmackDown.
The six-woman tag team match featuring Stratton, Jacy Jayne, and Lash Legend against Lola Vice, Roxanne Perez, and Sol Ruca was originally scripted to end with the opposite outcome as late as Friday afternoon.
Creative ultimately flipped the finish, giving the victory to Stratton’s trio before she and Penta went on to secure their respective briefcases the following night.
