In the Arena:

We go to the ring and there is a ladder behind the ring.

Shawn says he has been sweating through his suit because he has been dancing because he is so happy to be back in San Antonio.  Shawn says he was given one job.  That is to walk out of the ring with the signatures of Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes.  He says Nick couldn’t get it done, so they sent in the closer to get it done. Shawn brings out the ‘challenger’ Kevin Owens.

Kevin comes to the ring with a ‘Cody Sucks Eggs’ shirt. Cody Rhodes is next.

Cody and Kevin stand face to face in front of the table. Shawn asks them to take their seats and neither man moves so Shawn allows them to stand. He says they have battered and beaten each other for months.  While we have enjoyed watching it, he needs their signatures on this contract.  He says that needs to happen.  He asks them to please sign the contract.

Cody signs the contract first. Kevin refuses to sign until he can say a few things.

Kevin says Cody said something last night that pissed him off.  You said that Kevin takes the easy way out ten out of ten times.  He says he could have taken the easy way in Berlin because of Cody’s knee.  Kevin says Cody took the easy way out.  Who left when things got tough?  It was you.

Cody tells Kevin he isn’t here to talk about the past or justify your actions.  He did not get dressed up and Shawn Michaels did not come to San Antonio to hear you talk.  Cody says he has to start focusing on his opponent at Wrestlemania so he asks Kevin to sign the contract.

Kevin says Cody isn’t done worrying about him because at the Royal Rumble, he will shut everyone up who says he is not the rightful WWE Champion.  Once he wins the title, everything you got when you came back.  Everything you got is coming to him and he says that is what he has deserved for the last ten years.

Shawn tells Kevin that he sounds jealous.

Kevin does not appreciate Shawn’s use of words.  He says it is pretty rich that you would side with Cody.  When things got tough for you, you quit too.  Kevin says Shawn is jealous that he has brought more pride and made this title mean more than you ever did.  Kevin says he will give everyone a champion they can be proud of and that they can look up to.  It will be a champion who will not lose their smile.  He says Cody will lose his smile.

Kevin signs the contract.

Shawn says it is time for both men to surrender their title belts for them to be hung above the ring. Kevin hands ovr his belt and it is hooked onto the device.  Cody gives his belt to the referee.  The belts are raised to the rafters, even though the match is in Indianapolis.
