While Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer initially stated that Elijah had signed with ROH, a new report from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has contradicted this claim. According to Sapp, Elijah is not currently signed to either ROH or AEW.
Speculation surrounding his signing picked up last week when Elias released a cryptic vignette featuring Elijah alongside The Righteous on social media. This led many to believe that the former WWE Superstar Elias had officially joined the company. However, Fightful’s latest update indicates that no deal has been finalized.
Despite his free-agent status, Elijah has been active in the wrestling scene. Earlier this month, he competed on Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea, where he faced Ring of Honor’s Tommy Billington. His appearance at the Jericho Cruise further fueled discussions about his potential involvement with AEW or ROH.
Meanwhile, TNA Wrestling has also expressed interest in working with Elijah. While it remains unclear whether this interest will lead to a formal contract, it opens up another potential landing spot for the former WWE Superstar.
