WWE Releases Sonya Deville and Blair Davenport – WWE has made additional roster cuts, releasing Sonya Deville and Blair Davenport as part of the latest wave of departures. This follows the earlier exits of Cedric Alexander, Paul Ellering, and Authors of Pain.
Deville, who just marked her 10-year anniversary with WWE, originally joined the company in 2015 after competing on Tough Enough. Over the years, she transitioned from in-ring competition to an authority role before returning to full-time action. According to PWInsider, Deville is not subject to the standard 90-day non-compete clause, meaning she will be free to wrestle elsewhere as soon as her contract officially expires.
Davenport, meanwhile, last appeared on the November 22, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown, where she competed in a Women’s United States Championship Tournament First Round Triple Threat match against Chelsea Green and Bianca Belair. She initially joined WWE in 2021 and wrestled in NXT UK before making her way to NXT, where she won the 2023 Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. She was drafted to the main roster in 2024.
With these departures, WWE continues to reshape its roster under the current regime, leaving the futures of several released talents uncertain.
