Rey Fenix Done with AEW – Rey Fenix has officially been removed from AEW’s roster page, confirming his exit from the company. His departure comes after months of uncertainty, as he had not competed in an AEW match since July 2024.
Fenix had previously expressed frustration with AEW in now-deleted social media posts. In those messages, he claimed no one should remain where they experience “inhumane treatment” and alleged that he required medical attention but did not receive it. Despite speculation that he would join WWE alongside his brother, Penta, AEW reportedly extended his contract due to injury time, keeping him under contract until mid-2025.

Fenix had been with AEW since 2019, achieving significant success alongside Penta. Together, they won the AEW and ROH Tag Team Championships, as well as the AEW World Trios Championship with PAC. Fenix also held the AEW International Championship during his tenure. Penta exited AEW in December 2024 and made his WWE debut in January, further fueling speculation that Fenix could follow.
