4/25 WWE SmackDown Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of WWE SmackDown on April 25, live from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas!
We take a look at highlights from Wrestlemania week.
We are live from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, as John Cena makes his way to the ring to start the show.
John points at the ring announcer to give the proper introduction. John looks disgusted before he can attempt to speak, but Randy Orton’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Randy asks John if he knows what he found out. It will soon be twenty five years since we first shook hands. We have known each other for twenty-five years. Until recently, you never changed. You were about hustle.loyalty, and respect. It wasn’t an act, it was who you were. Randy says he needed to think about what is going on. There is a void that needs fulfillment. Randy says he started to think about the fans. The millions of kids who looked up to you. The kids you have motivated and been a role model for. They set goals because of you and then set more goals. You made those children better. Generations of kids looked up to you. That has to mean something to you. You granted more wishes than anybody in the history of Make a Wish. You cannot tell him that each of those sick children didn’t leave with a piece of your heart.
Randy says he knows how to fill that void. Randy tells John he needs to have some damn kids. Imagine a bunch of thick jawed little Cenas running around. He says John needs to be a father. It will make you a better human being.
John smirks and he tells Randy ‘how dare you’. How dare you prance out here with a smile on your face under the guise of feeling better and then parent shame me. Congratulations Randy Orton, you have children and you love. Good for you. Do you want to know the real reason why I don’t have kids? I have spent the last twenty-five years raising yours. By the sound of it, he says he has done an impeccable job. Here is the real truth. For the last twenty-five years, I have been a better parent to your children than you could ever be. John tells a child his dad is a loser.
He says a six year old gave him the finger and he says that is classy. John says that is why he doesn’t have kids. He has been policing brats for a quarter of a century. John tells the kid not to bring a knife to a gun fight. John asks if they are done.
Randy asks if the Hollywood rot has gotten into his brain. The fans are why you are in this ring. They are why you are in Hollywood. WWE is why you are crushing it in Hollywood. You took your work ethic to Hollywood. Without the WWE, there is no Hollywood. Without the WWE Universe, there is no WWE. The fans are the biggest reason you are in the ring with him. Randy says he has made a lot of mistakes but he can go in that locker room and hold his head high. He gets respect from his peers. He is here to stay while you are just a guest.
John says we all have our perspectives. He says he used to believe what Randy says. He says he thought they won together. He did not need your help at any time. They will chant in the same breath, Let’s Go Cena and Cena Sucks. Imagine being told you suck for twenty-five years. They mean nothing to him, just like you Randy. You are all hypocrites. When you get tired of him, you can put your energy into anyone else. If I put my energy into anything else, I am an outcast or a guest? That is why it doesn’t work any more. You are manipulating the truth to make you feel good because you have done nothing good with your lives. All he has done is to dress up like Jack Black. He is 100 years old and that is all he has to say for his life.
John says he gets criticized and labeled as an outcast or guest because I tried to do something different.
Randy says he was so stupid to come out here and think in some bizzarro world where I am a good guy and you are a bad guy, my words are not penetrating your thick skull. Randy says that Cody’s music talks about Cody’s family and his family. Wrestling will provide for him until he is in the ground. You are not going to ruin wrestling, over his dead body.
John tells him to shut up. John says he has already won 17.. You have won 14. When I go home, you will be frozen at 14. You might win again, but the counter starts over at 1, you babbling moron. John says he is trying to leave here and make sure that three generations of your family is erased.
Randy says John says he is the last real champ. He tells John to put the title on the line right here and right now.
John holds up his title belt and he says no. He says just like so many times over the last twenty-five years, he is doing it to save Randy’s ass. There should be a match between John Cena and Randy Orton for the title, but it shouldn’t happen here. He says it is for Randy. It should happen at Backlash because it is in St. Louis. For Randy that is great because he is from St. Louis. You can spend the day with your family. He wants Randy at his best. After Backlash, when you fail, you will have no excuses. John tells Randy to take a good look because this is what the last real champion looks like. This is as close to this title as you are going to ever get.
Cena punches Orton and then kicks him. John holds the title belt and he tries to hit Randy with it, but he misses. Orton with an RKO. Orton looks around and he picks up the title belt while John is motionless on the mat.

4/25 WWE SmackDown Preview
WWE SmackDown promises a loaded card tonight with two championship matches and a major appearance from the new Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena.
In the main event, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) Match. Their challengers are Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano of #DIY and The Motor City Machine Guns’ Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Shelley and Sabin initially faced The Street Profits in a traditional tag title bout last week, but interference from #DIY caused a no-contest. As a result of their attack, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis added Ciampa and Gargano to the title match and changed the stipulation to a TLC format, escalating the stakes.
Also scheduled is a Women’s United States Championship match, as Chelsea Green defends against Zelina Vega. Vega earned the opportunity by pinning Green in non-title action last Friday, catching her off-guard with a Sunset Flip powerbomb. Following the upset, Aldis confirmed the title match in a phone call to Green, which WWE shared via a video clip on X.
Additionally, John Cena is set to make his first SmackDown appearance as Undisputed WWE Champion after defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 Night Two. Cena recently confronted Randy Orton on RAW, setting the tone for what could be his next rivalry.
