Backstage News on The Lucha Bros in WWE – Since arriving in WWE, the Lucha Bros — PENTA and Rey Fenix — have been making names for themselves as singles competitors on separate brands. However, according to a new report, a reunion is still very much in the cards.
PENTA has been appearing regularly on Monday Night RAW, competing in high-profile matches and even chasing the Intercontinental Championship. He participated in the fatal four-way match at WrestleMania 41 but came up short in capturing the gold. Meanwhile, Rey Fenix has been racking up wins across WWE programming. At WrestleMania 41, Fenix stepped in for the injured Rey Mysterio to face El Grande Americano but was unable to secure a victory.
Despite working independently right now, Fightful Select reports that WWE fully intends to reunite the brothers in the future. The report states, “Yes, they’ll absolutely be together at some point in the future. When I asked someone associated with the creative, they thought that both were capable of holding their own separately, generating buzz on their own, and then can create a big moment whenever they reunite.”
This approach allows both PENTA and Fenix to build individual credibility and momentum before bringing them back together to maximize the impact of their eventual reunion. For now, fans can continue to enjoy their solo runs, but a big Lucha Bros moment appears to be inevitable down the line.
