Following her historic win, Lynch spoke during the post-WrestleMania media scrum, opening up about her time away from the company and what it means to be back.
On Her Time Away from WWE:
Lynch reflected fondly on her year away from WWE, describing it as an incredibly rewarding experience. “Oh, it was amazing. It was amazing, I wouldn’t give [it] back for the world,” she said, emphasizing the importance of spending time with her family. “Getting to get her into activities and into school, and all those things that have a routine… it’s been the best, you know? It’s the most important thing I’m ever going to do.”
She added that her love for her family remains her top priority, but wrestling comes right after that. “I love my family more than anything, and the thing I love next to that is wrestling,” she continued. Lynch expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to return, particularly to team up with Valkyria, who she described as the future of WWE’s women’s division.
“I told her this before I left, I didn’t know if I was coming back because… I said, ‘You’re my biggest hope for the future.’ We’ve already taken this women’s division and wrestling to heights never thought before.” Lynch went on to praise Valkyria’s dedication and passion, noting, “She’s so dedicated, she’s so passionate, she’s so good. She’s so smooth, that the world is her oyster.”
Lynch was proud to play a role in Valkyria’s first WrestleMania appearance and in their shared success at the event. “To be able to be here on her first WrestleMania, to be a contributing factor to her walking out of WrestleMania as Lyra Two-Belts, let’s hear it for her,” she said.

When asked why now was the right time for her return, Lynch chuckled and responded, “Well, it’s WrestleMania, isn’t it?” referring to the significance of the event. She also explained that Valkyria’s partner, Bayley, was unexpectedly taken out just days before the match, creating the perfect opportunity for Lynch to return and step in. “There wasn’t much time to prepare. But she’s going to call and ask for something, and I am proud of her, I would be there in a heartbeat.”
Lynch mentioned that she had already been at WrestleMania, watching her husband main event the night before, which added to the emotional and celebratory nature of the weekend. “I was already here watching my husband main event WrestleMania last night in a hell of a match. That match was insane, it was amazing. I’m so proud of all my people. Lyra, my husband; it’s a great weekend for The Man,” she said.
On Whether This Is a Full-Time Return:
Lynch made it clear that she’s back for the long haul, confirming that this isn’t just a part-time return. “Yeah. The Man don’t do part-time. Come on now. When I go, I go hard.
