Big Update on Bayley After WrestleMania 41 Removal

Big Update on Bayley After WrestleMania 41 Removal – As noted earlier today during the WrestleMania Countdown show, Bayley was found backstage laid out after an apparent steel chair attack. A ringside physician later stated that Bayley had suffered a shoulder injury and would not be medically cleared to compete at WrestleMania 41.

Following the segment, Adam Pearce informed Lyra Valkyria that she now has 24 hours to find a new tag team partner to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on WrestleMania Sunday.

The incident immediately sparked speculation among fans online about whether Bayley’s injury was legitimate or part of a storyline. According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the injury is not real and Bayley’s removal from the match has been in the creative plans for several weeks.

Johnson also notes that there is a noticeable level of sympathy backstage for Bayley. Despite the storyline nature of her removal, many within the company were reportedly disappointed, as she remains one of the most respected figures among the locker room.

Adding further intrigue to the situation, earlier reports suggested that Becky Lynch is expected to return and be physically involved at WrestleMania 41 this weekend. In light of Bayley’s exit from the match, it now appears likely that Lynch could step in as Valkyria’s replacement to challenge for the titles.

Meanwhile, All Elite Wrestling’s Mercedes Moné added a layer of intrigue with a not-so-subtle social media post shortly after news broke about Bayley being pulled from WrestleMania. Moné tweeted:

“🤏📱🤑 @ItsBayleyWWE”

The emojis—a finger point, phone, and money face—seem to suggest Bayley should give her a call and possibly make the jump to AEW for a big-money opportunity. Given the history between the two and Moné’s high-profile signing with AEW, the tweet quickly went viral and sparked plenty of fan speculation.

This development adds another layer of unpredictability to an already stacked WrestleMania card and potentially sets the stage for a major return on Sunday.
