Rusev Reportedly Re-Signs with WWE – Rusev (formerly known as Miro in AEW) is headed back to WWE.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Rusev has signed with WWE and was recently spotted at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. His wife, CJ Perry (Lana), was reportedly not with him.
“No word when Rusev will return on camera, but he’s back in the mix,” PWInsider noted.
Rusev was removed from AEW’s roster page in February. His last AEW match took place at Worlds End 2023, where he defeated Andrade El Idolo. He initially joined AEW in 2020 after his WWE release in April of that year and went on to capture the AEW TNT Championship.
Before his AEW run, Rusev spent a decade in WWE from 2010 to 2020, where he became a three-time WWE United States Champion and was involved in several high-profile storylines, including the “Rusev Day” movement, which made him a fan favorite.
With his WWE signing reportedly finalized, speculation is growing about how the company will reintroduce him. Given his past success, Rusev could return as a powerhouse in WWE’s main event scene or be positioned in a major storyline upon his comeback.
At this time, there is no confirmed date for his return to television, but given his presence at WWE Headquarters, it may only be a matter of time before fans see him back in action. However, according to recent reports, Miro is not expected to make an imminent return.
