WWE Evolution Reportedly Set for July 5 – WWE is reportedly set to bring back Evolution, its all-women’s premium live event, on July 5 at the Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. BodySlam.net first reported WWE’s tentative plans for the show, and now additional sources have confirmed its scheduling.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, the event is now locked in, with an official announcement expected from WWE on Monday.
A follow-up to the Evolution PLE news from last Thursday’s show. We are told the date of that show has now been confirmed, with the speculated date of Saturday, July 5, now locked in and official. Also, look for an official announcement from WWE about Evolution this coming Monday. So we’ll see how they present it, likely just a tweet. However, they may make a bigger deal about it. We’ll see, but that’s how it stands.
If confirmed, this would mark the return of Evolution for the first time since October 28, 2018, when WWE held the inaugural event at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show was headlined by Ronda Rousey defending the RAW Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella and also featured a Last Woman Standing match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
There is no word yet on what matches WWE has planned for this year’s event, but with the continued growth of the women’s division, it is expected to be a major showcase for WWE’s female talent.
