WWE Strongly Hints at Becky Lynch Return – WWE may have spoiled a major return ahead of tonight’s WrestleMania 41 Sunday PLE, as heavy hints during the Countdown pre-show strongly pointed toward the comeback of Becky Lynch.
During a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez addressed the ongoing mystery of who would team with Lyra Valkyria, who is scheduled for tag team action but has yet to find a partner. The duo mocked the idea that anyone would join Valkyria, expressing confidence that she would be left alone. However, the pre-show panel disagreed.
Big E, joined by Jackie Redmond and Peter Rosenberg, drew attention to the live crowd’s chants of “Becky! Becky!” and dropped a notable tease. Without naming Lynch directly, he referenced “a certain someone who’s been out for a while” and then made the hint crystal clear by adding, “a certain someone with an Irish background.” The panel reacted enthusiastically, further fueling speculation that “The Man” would return tonight.
Lynch has been absent from WWE television since dropping the NXT Women’s Title to Lyra Valkyria in 2023. While there had been speculation she might re-emerge during the Road to WrestleMania, her involvement had not been officially confirmed by WWE—until now, at least unofficially.
As noted, Big E also fueled speculation regarding another high-profile return. As fans loudly chanted “Rusev Day!” behind the panel, Big E and the other hosts acknowledged the chants with smiles and subtle reactions. This follows recent reports that Rusev—most recently known as Miro during his time in AEW—may have re-signed with WWE.
While no official announcements have been made, these on-air acknowledgments have only increased fan anticipation for surprise appearances tonight at WrestleMania 41. With Becky Lynch and Rusev both being heavily teased, Sunday’s event at Allegiant Stadium may deliver some long-awaited comebacks.
