MJF had plenty to say about AEW WrestleDream 2026, even though he did not appear on the pay-per-view. The former AEW World Champion took to social media after Saturday’s event and mocked several of the night’s biggest developments, including Will Ospreay’s title defense and Ilja Dragunov’s arrival in AEW.
WrestleDream featured Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship in the much discussed Clockwork Carnage match. AEW also introduced former WWE Superstar Dragunov as its newest signing, setting the stage for his upcoming debut inside the ring.
MJF offered a sarcastic summary of the event, taking aim at both men and referencing another notable result from the show.
MJF Mocks Will Ospreay’s Championship Victory
MJF began his review by attacking Ospreay’s status as AEW World Champion and questioning the legitimacy of his championship reign.
“Wrestledream synopsis,” MJF began. “Fake world champion defends fake world championship in match with opponents who are way better than him and cheats to win.”
The comment continued MJF’s familiar approach of using social media to criticize his rivals.
Ospreay headlined WrestleDream in a match that placed the AEW World Championship at the center of the His reaction made it clear that he was not impressed with the champion’s performance, at least according to his own sarcastic assessment.
MJF Also Targets Ilja Dragunov’s AEW Debut
Dragunov also became a target of MJF’s post. The former WWE star made his AEW debut at WrestleDream, where the company presented him as its newest signing.
MJF responded with another insult aimed at Dragunov’s introduction.
“Russian/german loser debuts by pretending he’s a ‘composer’…cool,” he wrote.
Dragunov is now preparing for his first AEW match. He is scheduled to make his in-ring debut on the October 21 episode of Dynamite.
The former WWE Superstar’s arrival represents a new chapter in his wrestling career, but MJF wasted little time making his opinion known following the announcement.
MJF Mentions Nick Wayne’s Victory Over Chris Jericho
MJF concluded his brief review by bringing up Nick Wayne’s recent success against Chris Jericho.
“Nick Wayne beat Jericho twice.”
The remark was considerably shorter than his comments about Ospreay and Dragunov, but it added another result to his sarcastic recap of WrestleDream.
Although MJF missed the pay-per-view, he has been expected to return to AEW programming in the near future. For now, MJF has made his feelings about WrestleDream clear through social media, while Dragunov looks ahead to his first match on Dynamite. Whether MJF’s comments lead to further confrontations remains to be seen.
