Nikki Bella walked in and told Chelsea she’ll take the title from her before anyone can say “hot mess.”

Trick Williams stepped in and told Cody he hopes he makes it to Money in the Bank. Trick reminded him he’s already in the match, saying Cody’s dream is over. Trick vowed to climb the ladder, grab the briefcase, and cash in on “the Gingerbread Man” to become champion.

Damian Priest Vignette

Priest said that if you can make it in New York, you’re a real one. If you want respect, you have to bleed. If you want to be the boss, you have to throw your hands. That, he said, is the foundation of a champion.

He admitted he lost his way — forgot who he was — and put others ahead of himself. That won’t happen again. He’s going to show R‑Truth exactly what that means. If Truth is looking for trouble, Priest will put him down, and he’ll enjoy doing it.

Priest said the city made him and helped him thrive. He needed to come back to New York to remember who he is. He said he’s a bad man, a violent man, and that’s all anyone is going to see from him now.

Alexa, Tatum & Charlotte Backstage

Tatum was visibly frustrated after the loss, and Alexa told her not to worry about it. Charlotte stepped in and reminded Tatum they have a tag title match next week. She handed Tatum a hat, and Tatum hugged Alexa as the segment wrapped.

Sami Zayn Promo + Money In The Bank Confrontation

Sami Zayn came to the ring and asked how many fans came to ride or die with the last real good guy. He said no one has had the journey he’s had to the Undisputed WWE Championship and voiced his disappointment with the crowd’s reaction. Zayn said he isn’t given the same respect as other champions and every time someone gets a match with him, people act like it’s a foregone conclusion he’ll lose. He said the title proves he’s a survivor who overcomes — but Je’Von Evans’ music hit.

Evans said he didn’t mean to interrupt, then joked Zayn was turning red like an angry bird. Zayn told Evans he has a big future and he’s been where Evans is, but Evans cut him off, saying Zayn was about to tell him “his time is coming.” Evans said maybe his time is right now, and maybe it won’t take him 20 years to reach the Undisputed WWE Championship. He said he’s coming for the title and could become the youngest Money in the Bank holder, then warned he might show up on SmackDown with the briefcase and beat the snot out of Zayn.

Penta’s music hit next. He told Zayn that when he wins Money in the Bank, he’ll become a World Champion — whether that means the Undisputed WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship.

Trick Williams then arrived. He told Penta and Evans he respects what they’ve been doing on RAW, but said they both have the same problem: pride. Trick said he holds down SmackDown and congratulated Zayn on becoming champion, but threw jabs at him, saying he’d never respect a champion “who can’t brush his own teeth.” Trick said only one man in the ring looks, talks, and smells like Money in the Bank.

Zayn fired back, saying no one can do what he does and only one man can win the briefcase. He called the others losers and asked what happens when losses start piling up and the crowd turns on them. He said he survived being the gingerbread man and still came out on top. Zayn dared Trick to “sniff him again” and said none of them deserve to stand in the ring with him.

Zayn headed up the ramp — but Finn Balor’s music hit. Balor reminded Zayn he told him he was coming for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Zayn said Balor isn’t special and swung first, but GUNTHER appeared behind Balor, locking in a sleeper and leveling him with a clothesline. GUNTHER then dropped Zayn with a clothesline as well, standing tall to close the segment.

Tiffany Stratton Backstage

Cathy Kelley caught up with Tiffany Stratton, who said ladder matches are her thing and she’s about to become a two‑time Ms. Money in the Bank.

Chelsea Green showed up celebrating, saying they could both walk out as champions.

Lash Legend then stepped in and said she’s going to dominate the match, grab the briefcase, and come straight for that title.

The show cuts to a commercial break. We will be back for more WWE SmackDown results for October 2, 2026.

GUNTHER Backstage

Cathy Kelley ambushed GUNTHER backstage, asking why he attacked Finn Balor and Sami Zayn. Before he could answer, Danhausen wandered into the shot. GUNTHER immediately grabbed him and hurled him into a stack of production cases, using the moment to “make him understand” without saying a word.

Giulia chopped her way out, but Blake hit a knee and followed with a straitjacket neckbreaker for a two count. Blake locked in a crossface, then slammed Giulia’s face into the mat. Giulia countered with a rollup for a near fall, then hit a jawbreaker and a shoulder tackle. She added another shoulder and unloaded punches on Blake. Giulia hit a forearm in the corner, climbed the turnbuckles, and connected with a missile dropkick as the match continued.

Giulia covered after the missile dropkick for a count of two, but Blake countered right back and scored a near fall of her own. Blake followed with a sling blade and then a Saito suplex for another close call. She set up for the Neutralizer, but Giulia countered with a back body drop.

Giulia tried for the Northern Lights Bomb, but Blake slipped free and cracked her with a headbutt — though Blake took most of the impact herself. Giulia blasted her with a running knee and then hit a curb stomp for a two count.

Blake rolled to the apron, and Giulia grabbed her. Giulia climbed the turnbuckles and tried to lift Blake, but Blake dropped Giulia face‑first on the turnbuckles and held her down long enough to get the three count.
